MG and I bought a new couch for the living room. I love it - it is a beautiful powder blue with attached chaise, BUT we got it to replace my great great grandmother's settee. The settee did not go in the living room. It was way too small for the room and needed to be re-upholstered (not my taste, at all). Now I do not have any where to put it....absolutely no room in the inn. My Mother and Daddy had it in their bedroom - nope - doesn't fit - style or room. WHAT TO DO?
Do I give it away? Do I give it to a relative? I hate to part with it. I can remember it in my Grandmother's front "parlor" - which you were only allowed in on holidays. Are objects to be treasured or memories OR is it the memories that the objects elicit that are to be treasured? I am in a quandry as to what to do with the setee. Should it stay or should it go?

It pursely depends on how you feel about it. I'm a huge fan of antique/retro and family heirlooms but don't let guilt eat you up if you decide not to keep it.
Your new couch is beautiful! I just wanted to let you know that I am back blogging again and I am so glad that your blog is still here! It is so hard to part with things that remind us of our loved ones. You will know the right thing to do.
